Pat McDonogh
     Pat McDonogh is the Assistant Photo Director at the Louisville Courier-Journal. Before that he was a photojournalist for 25 years. McDonogh has received numerous honors for his work, including the Clarion Award for documentary photography and Kentucky Photographer of the Year. He was a runner-up for the 2010 Eclipse Award, a finalist for the Nikon Sabbatical and shared in the Pulitzer Prize for general reporting for the Carrollton Ky. bus tragedy. He was nominated to American Photo Magazine’s “New Faces in Photography,” and was the winner of the national Best of Gannett award. He has worked for Time, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, Rolling Stone, Smithsonian, and Historic Preservation magazines, and published in multiple “Best of Photojournalism” books. His work has also been recognized in PRINT’S Digital Art & Design annuals 4 & 6. McDonogh was the subject of a feature story in the Japanese magazine “i.” He is a member of the Breeders’ Cup team of photographers and has published three books of his work, “Hoosiers,” “Louisville and its Environs,” and “Seasons of Lexington.”

Ben Van Hook
     Ben is an independent photojournalist based in Orlando, Florida. With more than 25 years of experience, Ben has shared a Pulitzer Prize as part of the staff at the Louisville Courier Journal, was a Pulitzer Prize finalist and won the 1988 Eclipse Photo Award for his photo of Alysheba winner the Breeders' Cup Classic.
